Tucson First Aid
Firehouse CPR and First Aid believes the first line of line of defense is learning basic first aid. We teach you skills in first aid quickly and efficiently with confidence that you will know what to do next time an emergency arises. Learn not only how to recognize but how to respond to life threatening medical situations. Instructors guide you in how to recognize an emergency and how to become familiar with emergencies in the crucial moments until medical services personnel arrive. We guide you into a variety some of the major first aid tasks that people need. First aid is the immediate care of an injured or suddenly sick person and this prompt care can sometimes mean the difference between life and death or between a full or partial recovery.
CPR
Along with first aid, it is important to know how to respond using cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR). This life saving procedure helps keep the brain supplied with oxygenated blood. Many people feel they may not need to know CPR because a situation like that may never arise. Life events such as choking, drowning, suffocation, carbon monoxide poisoning, and heart attacks, happen thousands of times daily and having up-to-date emergency response skills can save lives, and could save the life of someone you know and love.
Tucson AED
In some instances, CPR may not be good enough on its own and a machine called the Automated External Defibrillato (AED) is required. These small portable machines send a shock that could assist the heart to beat again. More employers are installing AEDs in the work place as a standard part of any first aid practice. That is why in this course, skilled instructors teach the students how to use the AED machine and the simplicity and safety of this life-saving device.

Course Description:
Heartsaver® First Aid, CPR and AED utilizes the experience of classroom learning using video-based instructor-led courses. This technique of teaching helps the students with critical skills needed to respond to and manage a first aid, choking or sudden cardiac arrest emergency in the first few minutes until emergency medical services (EMS) arrives.
Each student will learn skills such as controlling bleeding, sprains, broken bones, shock and other first aid emergencies. This course also teaches adult CPR and AED use. Child & infant CPR are optional.

Book Requirement Notice:
The AHA requires students to have a course booklet before, during and after the course. Each participant must either already have purchased (in the past), be in possession of, or have access to course booklets at their place of employment at all times (hospital, etc.) in order to be exempt from having to purchase a book. Should this not be the case, then you are to purchase a course booklet either directly online from the AHA or from us at our facility. As a courtesy to our participants, we provide a book prior to the course commencement and during the course itself. This is simply for your convenience should you not be allowed to check out the booklet from your place of employment.
Certificate: 2 year American Heart Association (AHA) Heartsaver® First Aid CPR AED course completion card upon completion of the course.
